Dr. Rosemarie Cartagine
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1980 Rosemarie Cartagine worked as a social worker in New York and Massachusetts. While managing a group home for developmentally delayed young adults she began receiving chiropractic care for herself and some of the house members. Chiropractic had a profoundly positive effect on her as well as some of the young adults. From this experience her desire to practice holistic health care was born.
Rosemarie Cartagine obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1988. In August of 1988 she began her private practice in Baldwin while working as an Associate Chiropractor in Manhattan. Dr. Cartagine moved to Rockville Centre in February, 1991where she continued to build a successful family practice often seeing multiple generations of one family. The office of Body-Mind Health was created in December, 1999 to embody her whole person approach to health and wellness and to fulfill her vision of holistic well care.
Her desire to provide the best in nutrition counseling motivated Dr. Cartagine to earn a Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College in 2011. As a nutritionist Dr. Cartagine incorporates a Functional Medicine approach where each person is treated as an individual to get to the root-cause of his/her health problem.

Consequently, Dr. Cartagine uses an inspired approach to health and wellness when taking care of her patients. She uses the very best gentle, hands-on techniques, life-style coaching including exercise, nutrition and stress management techniques to help positively change people's lives. Additionally Dr. Cartagine has dedicated nutrition counseling appointments for those who seek to improve health status through a functional nutrition approach.
